Emergence and Objectives

The IFTH came up with the intention of adding as many practitioners as possible in the world, regardless of style and technique.

Its founders and directors had the objective of union and interchange of the numerous styles of Hapkido existent throughout the world. For this to happen routinely and consistently, only a strong entity could be able to propose such projects, with real representation of academies and affiliates.

The Federation seeks not to limit itself to just having an administrative body. Its work is characterized by its representatives in the field, of visiting the dojangs of its affiliates. We also promote, encourage and organize activities of all kinds such as courses, lectures, seminars, congresses, demonstrations, workshops, tournaments and championships at local, regional, national and international levels. It also works on proficiency, qualification, certification and recognition of the techniques of its graduate affiliates, either instructors, teachers or masters.
